VOLCANO caught a live set from EMO’s the LAST WORD @lastword_band at Warong Music @warnongmusicbali a few weeks ago. We were knocked over by “Tak Terungkap” (Untold) - have you been tormented? Rise above it, leave the history behind, look up and begin again! The song has a neat video and is the first single off the upcoming EP “Adiksi Trauma Jiwa” (Mental Trauma Addiction).
We headed down to Warong Music for “Girls Boys Out!” and OH yeah, the synths were soaring! VOLCANO has been playing MIDDAY IN MADNESS @middayinmadness since 2020 - they were part of our very first hour on air! Hitting the decks is their latest single “Darkside”, and when we are in that retro analog mood we still spin “Terbiasa Maya” and all 5 tracks from our fave EP “Reason To Believe”.
Rock n’ roll punkers with such a sweet name, NURSERY RHYMES @nursery.rhymes are back with not just ONE new single, but TWO! “World Of Ignorance” fights social injustice while the ballad “Take This Pain Away” is a message of transition from past pain to new enthusiasm. Both tracks are off an upcoming album, it promises to be a banger!
With the name DEPRAD AND BEST FRIENDS (DNBF) @deprad.nbf, how could we not get these five buddies on a VOLCANO poster. Playing pop-rock with ambitious indie plans, the band were previously known as THE JOURNEY and we love the video from their 2020 song “Kota Denpasar”. In the early hours we sometimes chill out, and when we do VOLCANO is giving the new single “Pasti Ade Adi” a spin.
