We guess you have kind of noticed one of VOLCANO’s favourite bands to spin is PAST FICTION @pastfiction. These guys are style all the way, monochrome with a desaturated pale green highlight and the occasional faded red splash. We are all in for the visuals as well as the sounds, and their latest single “Hypoxia” featuring Hendro Prasetyo Wibisono & Esoteric Revelation is spinning big time on VOLCANO.
Oh, it’s a total no-brainer, all the VOLCANO staff can’t get enough of SETTLE @settlemusic, and we share their obsession with abandoned sidewalk couches and wheely bins. Their debut album “Adult Connection” is a testament to their musical prowess and storytelling abilities. With a range of themes that touch upon adult life, mental health, social critique, and feelings of isolation, each song delves into the depths of human emotions and experiences, offering listeners a rich and evocative musical experience. So… We have been playing their singles on the air for years in drips and drabs but at last, FINALLY, the long-awaited NIGHT STORY @nightstory_id EP has landed in the VOLCANO studio! They are calling it an EP, but we reckon it’s an album, after all, it is 7 tracks and 22 minutes of insanely great modern Balinese alt-rock-punk. VOLCANO is spinning EVERY track!
Back in 2020 when VOLCANO was simply a brain fart experiment we stumbled across “Last Chance” from AGAPEEA @agapeea.official, who to us sounded like PARAMORE! EVERY release since has been eagerly dropped onto our turntables and spun like crazy. Their “Graphics” EP remains one of our fave Balinese releases of all time. Listen up friends, VOLCANO is spinning their latest single “Tampa” to the max - it’s a family thing.
