VOLCANO caught BENTEN+62 @bentenofficials live on Sunset Road last week - pure magic! They dropped us their EP/Album “23:27” and it’s a keeper! Built around the theme of their “quarter life crisis” – (errr LOL the VOLCANO team can only dream back to when we were 25 years old!) it’s 6 tracks (and one more as a bonus!). Inspired by Seno Gumira’s short story collection "Mysterious Shooter" the EP is high rotation on VOLCANO. We are spinning EVERY track and this week we feature “Semua Awan - Semua Hari” (All Clouds/ All Days).
VOLCANO plays ONLY BALINESE indi, but for the last few months we have made an exception to the rule to spin GHANAIAN singer/songwriter/musician AQUAMMETRIC @aquametriclive collab with Bali’s MISTER TURTLE! Their single “Bali” is an insane fusion of Balinese Rap and West African groove that has driven the VOLCANO listeners crazy with delight! Every time we play “Bali” the studio gets hit with DM’s - what is that? AQUAMETRIC currently hangs around Sanur, belting out covers as well as originals, and the BIG NEWS is that the video clip for “Bali” was released on YouTube just yesterday. Check it out!
