Ana from Selangor, MALAYSIA emailed us a link to her band’s new single. So of course, we clicked on the music link and OH WOW! OMG! What we heard was perhaps Asia’s most wonderful alt-pop punk single of the year! IX CHEL @ixchel.band is something REALLY special, so we are going to be spinning them like crazy! Their album “Oskar” is out on CD, and we guess it will hit all the digital platforms in time. “Tales of a Dreamer” is the album’s first single, and KOMODO is spinning the full six-minute extended version! Oh, and the music video - seriously - so SHARP!
LUNARIAN @lunarian.music is an experimental-rock/art-rock band hailing from Jakarta INDONESIA. They are dropping single song releases at a frantic pace - one track each month right up until the release of their full album in May. In the studio, we have “Generation on a Deadline”, "Moon Citizen” and “Proclamation: Phantoms”. We are spinning them all! The guys fuse rock, electronic, traditional and orchestral sounds, blending art and scientific themes into the extraordinary. INDONESIA’s NORMATIF @normatif_ are back on the KOMODO poster for an encore performance! On Monday Adri and Ical dropped the astounding music video for their latest single “Jayasnipun” (His Glory). The filmmaking and performance are of epic proportions, perfectly complementing the song’s cultish, pagan themes. What a masterpiece. Never fear, you won’t miss out on this one, as KOMODO is playing “Jayasnipun” on high rotation.
Something ganteng is going on in Surabaya INDONESIA. Have you ever noticed how tampan Rizel the guitarist from the band BRUNOBAUER @brunobauer.post is? Well to be honest we had overlooked Rizel’s magnetic attraction until the band pointed it out to us. Cue the just-released single about him called “Handsome Innocent Boy”. We kid you not, the band has released a single about their guitarist! It’s overdriven, it’s fuzzy and of course this week it’s spinning on KOMODO!
