Let’s pull out a Ukulele and Banjo!

VOLCANO spins ONLY BALINESE ALTERNATIVE 24x7 365! Tune in to Katie @katkills & Jongo @jonathangoehr via Satellite, Cable TV Networks, Apps, Car Radios, Smart TVs, Digital Streams and even Airline In-Flight Entertainment Systems across the planet.

Only 3.3 million people in the world CAN speak Balinese. However, it’s estimated that less than 1 million people still use the Balinese language in their daily lives. Do the math - only 0.04% of the world’s population can speak Balinese, but much less SPEAK it daily!

VOLCANO plays ONLY music created in BALI, but most of what we play is actually sung in Indonesian or English. So, we get REALLY excited when music arrives at our studio that is sung in BALINESE!..

Tudix Holic and Yan Jamboel are the NEIVILL @neivill_band, and we were thrilled to open the mailbox and find an album from those Bangli dudes! Don’t let the album’s name - “Jiwa Rock n Roll” mislead you - it’s not actually “Soul Music” or straight “Rock n Roll” - it's eight alt-rock stories of the soul! Each song is a hit single in it’s own right - with plenty of Balinese language lyrics thrown in as well. Amazing musicianship and production - this week we are featuring “Kecewa” and “Nyaman”.

Over on KOMODO, this week it’s LUNA NEW YEAR and part of the festive spirit has leaked over to VOLCANO. Let’s pull out a ukulele and banjo to strum up the new one from NOSSTRESS @nosstressbali - “Lagi-Lagi Tahun Baru” (Again New Year).

Have you caught KATIE spinning “Ngengat” (Moth) in her shows? She LOVES playing SAMARTAFATTU @samartafattu, the Balinese revivers of New Wave and Dark Electro Pop. We can’t get enough of those electro beats and dreamy vocals, so we are getting “Highest Orgasm & Libido Experience” on the air.

NIRDON @nirdon.official are getting VERY excited that the 2022 football season soon kicks off! VOLCANO has pumped up the ball and is spinning the NIRDON latest “Barisan Tridatu”. GOAL!

VOLCANO’s art is by @rickybilly50. Download the posters in full resolution each week at www.radioseribatu.com
