Radio KOMODO spins ONLY ASIAN ALTERNATIVE 24x7 365! Tune in to Katie @katkills& Jongo @jonathangoehr via Satellite, Cable TV Networks, Apps and Digital Streams across Asia.
From Bali INDONESIA, Phil Stoodley @philstoodley and Andreas Arianto @andreasarianto create independently, but when together they become the dynamic duo HOTEL DEATHSTAR @hoteldeathstar. Their latest is “Bravestar”, a dark, ominous synth track with soft baritone vocal drones and twangy surf guitar. The visual accompaniments include Alan Shepard orbiting in his Mercury Capsule - weightless - float away, “Bravestar” is on KOMODO!
Elly @elliottwan123 vocalist and guitarist in STRANGE LIVES @strangelivesband has been in touch! The HONG KONG trio deliver an amazing Britpop, PostPunk fusion. We have been playing tracks off their “Today’s No Different” EP since our very first day on air, including “Hopeless Romantic” and “Only Chemical”. Latest from the guys is the EP “SL3” so dropping onto the KOMODO turntable is “Nose Ring Girl” and the energy inducing instrumental “All We Have Are These Secondhand Memories”.
So, there is this guy called JIESUS @jiesussamsara from Cebu City PHILIPPINES. He is a font (we are talking typefaces) enthusiast. Every few weeks (no kidding) he releases something new and amazing on Bandcamp, with the accompanying text displayed in Hindi or Abugidu alphabet scripts. We first stumbled across JIESUS via his project “Ashtrays To Gaza” a few months ago…
Then there is the lo-fi indie rocker NOA MAL (Norma Jean Claire) @n0amal and just like the aforementioned JIESUS, she drops the most amazing releases every few weeks from her bedroom in Lucena, Quezon. These two hyperactive dudes have released the split album “Modern Pentagrams” you are hearing all 5 tracks on KOMODO.
And just for good measure, we are also spinning Noa’s just out album “Nerve Damage” and Jiesus’s new release ƙคŞkค໓ēr. Hey, you two, don’t forget to get some sleep!
