Jacknyz from Batu Caves (a cool place full of monkeys and well-known to the KOMODO team!) in Selangor, MALAYSIA has emailed over a few tracks from xTHExKAIOWASx @xthexkaiowasx. It’s all fun old-school Trash Metal & Hardcore Punk! You are not going to be able to avoid these guys, we are playing them heaps! On the air is “Homies” and the KOMODO studio fave, “So What”.

From the high altitudes of the Himalayas, GUNS FROM COUNTRYSIDE @guns_from_countryside_india(Rinchenpong, West Sikkim, INDIA) have dropped over to KOMODO their new single “Sochana”. Sochana सोचना (Hindi) means to ponder or to think. The GUN’s are shining a light on crimes, rape and injustice in their society and plea that people wake up and see what and why everything is going so wrong. It’s heavy, it’s spinning.

Spinning out of the KOMODO mailbox is a dose of heavy stoner from Balikpapan EAST BORNEO! ROCKAFILLER @rockafiller have dropped the insane debut single “Blacksmith” full of fantasy kingdoms, mythological beasts and wizardry. Influenced by Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and The Sword these guys sound like they are on the magic mushrooms. Let’s hope there is more on the way, this story deserves to be a full concept album!

It’s the 57th anniversary of INDONESIA’s G30S abortive coup d'état and the bloody period that followed. SPEAK-FAST @speakfast.official (Tangerang, INDONESIA) have just released "Surat Cinta Yang Berlumur Darah" (Bloody Love Letter) as a final tribute to those who have fallen in the tragedy. The years between 1965 and 1968 were among the most tumultuous and violent in Indonesia’s history, and this period has served as the backdrop for a number of widely acclaimed works of literature and film. Listen up, "Surat Cinta Yang Berlumur Darah" is spinning.

KOMODO’s art is by Bali’s @rickybilly50. Download the posters each week from our website…
