Kicking the Greedy Corrupt Politicians of Sabah Directly in the Balls!

KOMODO breaks all the conventions of “regular” music radio! We broadcast the stuff that others won’t - ONLY ASIAN ALTERNATIVE and INDEPENDENT commercial-free 24x7 365! Tune in to KATIE @katkills & JONGO @jongo_on_air via Satellite, Cable TV Networks, Apps and Digital Streams right across Asia – and beyond!

OK, so KOMODO plays independent rock, metal and punk, but yep, we also love alternative pop! Rapidly climbing to INDONESIAN mega-star status are newcomers from Jakarta, RAHARA @raharabersua. The guys sent KOMODO the EPK for “I Love Us” and somehow, they convinced Natasha Udu @natasha.udu to sing along on the track too! It’s a total sugar hit! If you are in an Indonesian shopping mall ‘ya gonna hear this song on the PA and guess what, it’s also spinning on KOMODO!

In our mailbox, we found the album “Be Free, Be You” from Bogor, INDONESIA’s VANILAND @vanilandmusic! Two years in the making it was well worth the wait! Being truly independent the band has chosen not to sign to a label - power to them. KOMODO is spinning the alt/indie/pop single “Bebas” (Free), and soon we are diving full in and getting all six tracks on the air!

Awesomely named CON-DAMN THE CORRUPTOR @condamnthecorruptor are tribal punk from a small town near Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, MALAYSIA. They utilise traditional native instruments in their music so as you can guess, they sound pretty unusual! If it’s weird, wonderful and Asian, KOMODO is definitely going to play it - so let’s spin “Story From Our Land” which kicks the greedy corrupt politicians of Sabah directly in the balls.

JAIDITYA JHA @jaiditya_jhuh listens to KOMODO from New Delhi, INDIA. This fine upstanding 16-year-old is best known for making trouble and making music! Into our mailbag has landed Jaiditya’s debut single “Xy”. Basic facts - he kinda looks like SLASH, the song is about his dog (!) and it's grungey! Yep, we love it - now spinning!
