High-Flying Female Japanese Power Metal

CONDUCTOR @conductor.band our fave alt-metal band from Bangkok, THAILAND are diving deep into the “Hikikomori Syndrome” where people become recluses in their homes for months or years disconnecting from everyone and everything, including reality. Just out is the double single "Hkkmr.ios" as well as two animated videos exploring this isolation. The whole package is a fave here in the KOMODO studio with the tracks being lower, heavier, and dreamier, than what we have heard from Conductor previously - listen up “Hikikomori” and “In Our Space” are spinning.
The high-flying female Japanese power metal band BRIDEAR @bridear_jp have never been on the KOMODO poster before, which is kind of weird since we play them so often! They are a KOMODO listener fave with their overwhelming power and technique, melodious, and complex song structures. Just out is their live album, “Aegis of London” so listen up for that - but first, this week we are featuring the just dropped single, “Eyes of Doubt”.
Hey, not too long ago we featured UNTOLD @untold_band from Jakarta INDONESIA with their single “Spit the Anger”. Yeh well the KOMODO listeners have gone crazy with DM’s and emails bugging us to play more from them. OK, so we have reached back to 2019 and pulled out “Monumental Moron”. Taking massive swipes at politics, religion, overdevelopment, corruption, and racism, it’s EXACTLY the type of song KOMODO was made for! This one should not just be heard, but seen as well, catch the radical music video on YouTube.
ADI ALAM @_adialam grew up in a small town in East Java INDONESIA playing in some alt-rock bands, but eventually the big lights of Jakarta captured him, and he launched his solo shoegaze/acoustic career. Adi dropped over all his singles and eventually, you will hear us spin them all, but the one that has grabbed us to feature this week is “Bahagia” (Happy). It’s an experimental blend of post-rock, folk, and ambience. Happiness can be found in the most unlikely places, Bahagia yang tak terduga - tersenyumlah apa yang ada.
Our featured artists are all playing in KATIE’s @katkills & JONGO’s @jongo_on_air shows this week. PLUS, you can hear POSTER acts uninterrupted, back-to-back daily at 0600 & 1800 Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, 0330 & 1530 Delhi, and 0200 & 1400 Dubai.
