With the new single “Resurface” SUGAR THILLS @_sugarthrills are giving us a sweet taste of their upcoming high-calorie, low-fat EP “Selfless”. The guys have been taking their driving guitars and dreamy vocals on the road serving up the EP live. They are just dusting themselves off after Java, it’s been a million miles. In the next few weeks, they will be ramping up towards the full EP release so hopefully we are gonna catch them live in Bali too!
From the very first dirty notes of “Pecandu” (Addiction) ya’ can tell that RAINBOW AND CLOUD @rainbowandcloud.band have a smash on their hands. We can’t stop playing it on VOLCANO - seriously it’s the BEST! Leave the conventional well-worn path, avoid the surveillance cameras, and wear pink. Our fave garage rock band are playing on VOLCANO a minimum of four times a day this month - you are going to have “Pecandu” etched into your head.
Those random pop punkers’ NIGHT STORY @nightstory_id have an EP on the way, and to build us up for the inevitable excitement they have just dropped a killer sneak peek with “Terbang Tinggi dan Tenggelam” (Fly High and Sink). So insane – first there are a few bass notes, then the drums kick in and man we are soaring above the padi fields. As a bonus surprise “What Should I Do” was re-released last Friday, why(?) we don’t know - but why not!!
It’s been a while since we have featured ASTERA @astera_ina on a VOLCANO poster, but we still spin their tracks every day, year in and year out! So, it was excitement plus in our studio when their new album “Better Days” was delivered in a paper bag with a note saying, “Please Play”. Yep, we are spinning it heaps - this week listen up for OUR fave “Don’t Cry” and THEIR fave “Better Life”.
