Fresh Asian Alternative
KOMODO is 100% ASIAN ALTERNATIVE commercial-free - 24x7 365! Check the bio! This is what’s new in Katie @katkills & Jongo @jonathangoehr shows next week…
This week has two themes!
First up let’s mosh with two spicy servings of MALAYSIAN Hardcore…
From Kuantan, Pahang on MALAYSIA’s east coast, RUSTED @rustedhc are heavy hardcore with a reputation for the wildest gigs. From the mosh pits to our airwaves; KOMODO is playing their debut demo track “Devastating Remedy”. The band explains - “Devastating Remedy focuses on hatred towards the dark side of ourselves. Sometimes the only thing that keeps dragging us down is ourselves.”
On a roll, let’s keep that MALAYSIAN hardcore happening – out of Puchong we have found LAST MINUTE @xlast_minutex and KOMODO is spinning their new track “Breakthrough”. “Breakthrough is about the current situation where everyone seems to lack compassion and have a very low tolerance and respect for human rights. Ordinary people fall victim to the greed of selfish and arrogant leaders. In fact, some people are deliberately blind with their continued double standards situations.”
Second theme of the week!
Virtual bands, where the music is created using online collaboration tools!..
RAKU’EN @rakuenofficial are something unexpected – a band that sounds like Japanese J-Rock but are INDONESIAN! From Bali and other provinces, the band members have collaborated online to create their debut album “Hope”. The guys didn’t nominate one particular track as their single – so we at KOMODO get to call it! We choose “Leith” as the smash single (It reminds us of SEGA's Japanese driving games) – so let’s get it spinning!
NEKOJARASHI @nekojarashi_official is the “introspection rock” project by JAPANESE composer Siyu @siyu_nekojarashi and vocalist kyrieley. Leveraging the creative freedoms of the digital age; songwriting, recording and mixing are completed remotely – online. KOMODO is featuring “Bad Ending” from the debut full length (album) “Insight”.
KOMODO’s art is by Bali’s @rickybilly50 – download the posters each week from our website!
