Let’s dream-gaze… One of our favourite bands to catch live on the island is CONCISE (@concisetheband), and of course, we play heaps of their music on VOLCANO every day. We were thrilled when they dropped by with their new EP Self Confession. It’s 5 tracks, all tied to a theme: the realization and acknowledgment of their life experiences. Juvenile delinquency, self-doubt, worries, validation – choices and consequences. VOLCANO is spinning all five tracks, but for the next few weeks, we’re playing our own mix that seamlessly blends two songs into one gapless extended track. The journey from “Intersection” into Reishya Amelia’s building bass lines on “Go” is pure passion.
S. Kusuma (vocals), Agustiana Putra (bass), Oka Widiana (guitar), and Oka Widiantara (drums) are the four emotional lads from Denpasar who call themselves FALLERINE (@fallerine.id). Back in June, we started spinning their debut single “Home,” and now they’ve dropped by our studio with their new EP Breathless Heart. It’s confessional. Listen up – “Peach” is on heavy rotation this month.
Oh, WTF! How insane is FORGOOD (@forgood.idn)! These guys win the VOLCANO award for the most exciting new band to explode out of Denpasar in ages! OK, so you’ve heard us spin their debut EP Exordium and the track “Takkan Terbangun Lagi” over the past year, but holy cow, they’re on fire with their latest single “Throw Me.” We’re calling it – this stands a top chance of being VOLCANO’s pick for best single of 2024! So much anticipation! So much rage! So much emotion! Imagine yourself in their mosh pit – throw yourself into the fire – Woohoooooho, Woohooohoo!
