A band we can never get enough of is FLUCTUS @fluctusberselancar. They have been banging out some acoustic sets lately, so we are planning to check them out in the flesh soon! Meanwhile, “Come and Go” is spinning to the max on VOLCANO! Balinese indie and surf rock at its best!
Being a bunch of loose cannons, we have been busy at the VOLCANO mixing desk and put together a six-minute extended remix of HUNDRED MILES @hundredmilesid latest insane single “Blow Off”. The dudes are killing it! Oh, I guess we better mention “Wearing My Heart On My Sleeve” is on our studio turntables too! Toxic!
He might have been drunk (Ha!), but our boss Wayan Balik (Mark) dropped some gossip to us - METALLESA @metallesa mentioned to him that there may be new ROBOKIDS @robokids.official stuff in the works. Always up to something interesting, be it traveling to places far away while banging on a drum, playing keys with @sundowners.id, or teaching kids to love music, METALLESA is without doubt one of the most talented in the contemporary Balinese music scene and will certainly be regarded in the future as local legend. So naturally, at VOLCANO, we are spinning every track off her new EP “Satu”. Listen up - our feature track for August is her very operatic “Silence of War”.
We have a complicated relationship with SRTN @srtn.id! KATIE @kateaceous often intros them on air in her shows as “CERTAIN” (heck, we agree that SRTN = CERTAIN), but the dudes insist their band name is pronounced in English as SEROTONIN. Umm, OK dudes, whatever. Their latest, after a loooong break, “Deep Talk” is spinning!
