Here are just four from the big pile of new tracks spinning on KOMODO this week!

Australian-born, INDONESIAN artist JELITA @jelita610 wrote her solo debut single, “Only Ever in Daylight”, in her bedroom! A story of the misery of finding meaning from the intricacies of life, the song combines electronic and folk roots with an amazing dark indi-pop edge. “Only Ever in Daylight” has already become a listener fave in the few weeks we have been playing it on KOMODO. This is a killer track - we LOVE it!

TABAHI @tabahithrash stands out as the only thrash metal band in PAKISTAN focused on the country’s turbulent socio-political environment, and KOMODO is always eager to give these Karachi thrashers airtime! “Survive or Die” is just out, characterized by its fast tempo, aggression, rapid percussive and heavy palm-muted guitar riffs, energetic and high-pitched growls, overlaid with shredding-style lead work. What's not to love? It’s spinning!

Ready for some insane THAI pop-punk? Bangkok’s SELF STRENGTH @selfstrengthofficial have dropped “Rise Up”. The guys explain, “This is about living a certain way of life where you fight all your obstacles to live a better life. A song about never surrendering”. Keep on keeping on - yeh we hear ya dudes!

MAYSALOON @maysaloonband formed in Damascus, SYRIA playing death metal. Their music is a defiant response to the horrors of the Syrian war, echoing bands such as Death, Dissection, Entombed, and Necrophobic in addition to Middle Eastern folkloric music, but with a distinct extreme Syrian death metal identity. KOMODO is spinning two Maysaloon tracks back-to-back. "A Hymn to Ugarit” is a rearranged version of the oldest discovered musical notation found in Ugarit, Syria, which then flows seamlessly into their growler track “Mot”.

KOMODO’s art is by Bali’s @rickybilly50. Download the posters each week from our website… www.radiokomodo.com
