KOMODO loves the alternative 90’s. We’re talking Grunge, Britpop and the emergence of Pop Punk. Across Asia, there are many bands building fresh contemporary takes upon those retro sounds, and today let’s dive into JAKARTA (via MEDAN SUMATRA) to catch CARELESS 061 @careless061. Supon (guitars/vocals), Farrell (bass) and Gintang (drums) are inspired by the interesting life of Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of Kurt Cobian - (look her up, she’s no dummy). The guys have dropped over to the KOMODO studio their 15-track long-play “Murica”. It’s phat, we are going to spin heaps of the tracks - this week we kick it off with the effervescent single from the album, “Alka Seltzer”.
A true story…
MIRYUZ (our resident gamer) was hanging out in the KOMODO studio, doing epic things on his iPad (such as riding a dragon through battlefields) when @katkills ears were attracted to the trancecore in the game he was playing. The soundtrack was mostly instrumental, but KATIE kept catching occasional breaks that sounded like SYNSNAKE’s @synsnakeofficial vocalist SERAH OH @serah_synsnake. So, we dug deeper…
OMG, yes SEOUL's SYNSNAKE are within the newly updated game Lineage2M! Their song is called “Instinct of the Blue Wings” and we have scored the full vocal version! Guys, ride that dragon listening to thrashing metal, we are spinning it on super high rotation on KOMODO!
