Ummm, OK, guys take a DEEP breath and just chill. Some of the fresh stuff we are playing this week is bound to be controversial…

@gaijin_jaeger has been in touch to introduce us to INFESTATION @infestationindia, a Death Metal act from central INDIA that has been actively destroying stages since 2016. Their lyrics are based on War, Atheism, Human Experiments, Veganism and the many unknown and undiscovered depths of the universe. Choose your target, KOMODO is spinning “Slaughter Your Gods”.

If you had been banging around for over 17 years you would kinda think you wouldn’t be STILL VIRGIN @still.virgin would you? Maybe these guys are just slow learners? Anyway, these INDONESIAN pop-punkers have just re-recorded their 2014 infectious classic “Semampu Kita Bersinar” (We Can All Shine). Helping out on this new recording the band roped in a bunch of buddies including Yagi (Straw Hats), Iqbal (Hidden Message @hddnmssg) and Daus (Outstep @outstep_). Jump up and get dancing, “Semampu Kita Bersinar” is spinning on KOMODO!

The MALAY archipelago is known as a melting pot of cultures. Unfortunately, religious, and racial extremism has recently reared its ugly head across every segment of society. Even the arts are not spared. The days where music is tolerated as a means of self-expression and escapism have been replaced by box-office films glorifying the marginalisation of minorities. ROH @rite.ov.honour is out to expose these purveyors of cultural corruption, through the curse of composition, one note at a time. Their latest single “Teletalbis” is aimed at bigots, zealots & harlots alike as it laments the downfall of society in the hands of its ignorant echelons. How can KOMODO not spin it, this is a monster!

Self-confessed nerds with a hopeless inability to create guitar riffs, MUCHLIS IN ENGLISH @muchlisinenglish is a totally BAGUS punk quartet from Bandung INDONESIA. Their latest drop “Krait” strikes at human greed and the resulting destruction of the environment. “Krait” is exactly 100 seconds long - it’s totally fucking awesome - and yep, it’s spinning on KOMODO!

Our featured artists are all playing in KATIE’s @katkills & JONGO’s @jongo_on_air shows this week. PLUS, you can hear POSTER acts uninterrupted, back-to-back daily at 0600 & 1800 Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, 0330 & 1530 Delhi, and 0200 & 1400 Dubai.

KOMODO’s art is by Bali’s @rickybilly50. Download the posters each week from our website… www.radiokomodo.com
