Alternative, Indie, a little Pop – first up is NEWFANGS @newfangsss debut single “Take Me Home”. OK, so it’s a love (or lack of love) song but it’s not whiny or soppy. With low-pitched vocals and a dark arrangement, the track is mysterious and enigmatic. A solid debut release - we predict that NEWFANGS are going to reach megaband status! “Take Me Home” is spinning in Bali on VOLCANO, and across all of Asia on KOMODO!

GEEKSSMILE @geekssmile were the very first band played on VOLCANO and with them being our fave Kontrakultura Mercenaries we hang out for everything they cook up. Just out is “SAGA” and this is VERY deep. Lyrics that mix Indonesian with Sanskrit, riffs and song progressions that apply hybrids in performance, moves in 1 BAR performed with Malay tone progressions - that’s just the start of the complexity. SAGA has dropped with three different mixes. We are spinning them on both VOLCANO and KOMODO.

Oh boy, here we go! Balinese street punkers THE BOLDNESS @theboldness have their track “Skinhead Aggro Time” featured on the global punk compilation album “Oi 2 The World Volume 4”. This is all a bit TOO intense for JONGO but KATIE has snatched the track and is plunging it into her shows. Grab the whole album on Bandcamp!

The boss here at Radio Seribatu used to work for a life-sciences arm of NASA, so any songs featuring Houston mission control audio is gonna shoot to the top of the playlist fast! “In Motion” and “Wrecked” are the latest from KYRA @kyrramusic. The tracks are so hot that we have them on DOI (Descent Orbit Insertion) on VOLCANO, KOMODO and even on our Balinese EDM station MESIN - don’t fall asleep!
