Head-banging Alert! ROCK N ROLL BASTARD @rocknrollbastard2017 are playing at the BLACKLIST COMMUNITY gig on Thursday. To get in the spirit VOLCANO is spinning the BASTARD’s just released singles “Fake Hero” and “Tanpa Kemenangan” (No Victory).
The guys in TELL STORIES @tellstories_official have been friends for years. During the pandemic, Irvan @irvanboker(Bass) got talking to talk to Marmut @prayudi_vigraha(Drums) about the massive amount of half-worked tracks sitting on his hard drive. They called in Gangga @gangga_sadewa (Vocals) and Aris @aristwira (Guitar) to form the act, and get the songs recorded and released. The guys have just released FOUR singles! Each should be a massive hit in its own right. We LOVE ‘em - VOLCANO is spinning “Satu” (One), “Hujan dan Kenangan” (Rain and Memories), “Musuh Abadi” (Eternal Enemy) and “Setamanya” (First of All).
Oh gosh - here we go! VOLCANO was in the Kopi Joglo mosh pit for Tabanan’s TOTAL IDIOT @total.idiotofficial@totalidiotbali back in May - what a show! Here in the VOLCANO studio is the book “Making Scenes” (Reggae, Punk, and Death Metal in 1990s Bali) by the Australian academic EMMA BAULCH @EmmaBaulch (Twitter). The book discusses the controversial appearance by the freshly formed TOTAL IDIOT at a November 1997 TATO show. But it seems the guys started kicking around a few years earlier in 1995 as last Saturday they played their 27th-year anniversary show at Taman Ganesha. To celebrate VOLCANO is spinning “Stop The War”.
