Malangan!

Malangan! Who is that behind the mask? Let’s dive into another week of kick-ass new music with Katie @katkills & Jongo @jonathangoehr on VOLCANO.

VOLCANO was created to provide a broadcasting outlet for Balinese alternative rock musicians. BUT occasionally we flex ourselves to include Indonesian artists from other parts that have moved to Bali to live and work - this week we are featuring Arheta (ree-ta) @arheta a Sundanese singer from West Java who has moved her digs to Badung.

Arheta has her album “Heal” close to release - a unique blend of gritty rhythm and blues. You are going to be hearing ALL the tracks on VOLCANO. Starting today Katie’s shows are taking off with the AMAZING first single from the album, “Superman” - Up, Up and Away - you are going to LOVE this track - It’s gonna WAKE YOU UP!

Take a little time to enjoy the morning with the wonderful new release “World of Mind” by Al-Chemy. MASTERFUL acoustic guitar, piano and strings will focus you for the day. Many names, same dude! - Al-Chemy IS Bobby and @rifqikhilmi and also a member of the East Groove Experience.

Jongo loves to play LONG songs on VOLCANO! It gives him a chance to drink a big Bintang or sleep on the job! If you create a song longer than 7 MINUTES then Jongo is bound to play it often! Denpasar’s Heavy STONERS Ironhead @ironhead.stoned “War Has Begun” is JONGO’s LONG song pick of the week!

I have never headed so far west to get to Jembrana, that’s a LONG Scoopy ride from Seribatu! But we are gonna ride there soon to catch up with West Bali pop-punkers Minority @_minorityofficial. They emailed us “Teman Tidaur” - pop-punk with a reggae beat. Infectious - it’s a KURAN PICK spreading all week on VOLCANO!

King of EVERYTHING @rickybilly50each week creates VOLCANO’s amazing poster art. 50% Pop Surrealism / Lowbrow / Pulps – what a DUDE! Download the posters in full resolution from our website – www.radioseribatu.com
