Eileen's new stuff for the coming week kicks off with “Waking Up” the amazing debut album from BALI’s ROBOKIDS @robokids.official. No strangers to listeners of VOLCANO, our station in Bali; ROBOKIDS are now spreading their brand of exhilarating electropop across ASIA here on KOMODO. Those four nerdy kids from Jakarta, CAT’S PAW @__catspaw have just dropped “Lost Kiss”. The song has a must check out music video - Car Chase, Smashed Upturned Cop Car, Hail Satan – It’s a wild ride. Arm the airbags, the “Lost Kiss” is crashing next week on KOMODO.
Out of Surabaya comes OVER21 @submarine.recs. They play the wildest melodic punk and have sent KOMODO a copy of their new EP “REALLYSSSTTT!!!”. Listen up, Eileen has the 4 amazing tracks cued on her decks – and none are SSSTTT at all!
SHIKHA and GAGAN both host their blocks in HINDI from Mumbai. Shikha usually spins the latest from the Indian indie scene, while Gagan highlights new South Asian hardcore. One band you will hear them both play in their sets is our fave from Bengaluru, THE PUNCHER SHOP @tpsbandofficial. “Band Aid Love”, is a song that is gonna get stuck in your head after just one listen! From scaling highs and profound depths, it’s an upbeat heavy blues riff with solid beats. An excellent second single from the guys, and they have even more on the way soon!
