Last Puff! Addicted? Here is the one last ciggy!
Last puff! This is the very last time KOMODO is featuring smoking in its artwork - so if you are addicted to keeping corrupt big tobacco fuckers wealthy then enjoy this one last ciggy!
KATIE @katkills & JONGO @jonathangoehr play ONLY Asian Alternative on KOMODO! Listen commercial free via Satellite, Cable TV Networks, Apps and Digital Streams.
ATLESTA (Fifan Christa) @atlesta is out of Malang, INDONESIA. Not only delivering hit after hit in his own right, he has also founded the record label @popsyougood publishing other independent artists from the city. We have lost count of how many times you guys have requested “Persona” - also spinning is “Celebrate This Feeling” and just out this week - “The Act of Letting Go”.
BRITISH/KOREAN duo WOOZE (named after a phonetic translation of ‘space’ in Korean - 우주) @woozeband have just released their EP “Get Me To A Nunnery”. Combining Bowie-esque eccentricity with psychotropic instrumentation - think Korean & Jap Funk, ABBA, Primus, Led Zeppelin all blended into 80’s new wave. KOMODO is playing EVERY track!
PARABOLA @parabolamusicmy from Kuala Lumpur (well, specifically Petaling Jaya) MALAYSIA started out as a weekend hobby - and are now doing it for real! KOMODO loves ‘em - a 90s Grunge revival taste and early 2000s alternatives rocketed into a very 2021 sound. We are spinning “Take Me Down” and “Sura”.
Seriously JONGO, playing 3 tracks each hour from DAVID BORING @davidboringhk is overdoing it! David Boring is NOT a guy - it’s a HONG KONG act named after an unlikely hero from an American cult-classic graphic novel. Experimental noise, interlacing male-female vocals, post-punk - they were even featured in the late Anthony Bourdain’s last episode of Parts Unknown. KOMODO is playing “Machine #1”, “Machine #3”, “Jane Pain”, “Susie Exciting”, “Nancy Nightmare” - and when we want to fuck with our technical team and make them think the studio gear has melted down, we play “Newborn Porn”.
Our poster art is by Bali’s @rickybilly50 – download KOMODO’s posters each week right here on our website!
