TAKE IT EASY @takeiteasygram from Singkawang, Borneo is a band we have so much LOVE for - dreamy atmospheric indie with at least 60% vibes! Beautiful beat changes and the use of violin bows allow the guitars to soar. KOMONO is playing “Sickness” and “Changes” plus all the tracks from the new EP “Moonline”.
Don’t want to wake up? – OK, let’s float to Tokyo! EVERY time we play BERTOIA @bertoia_band on KOMODO we get heaps of listener feedback - so that just encourages us to spin their dream pop, shoegaze magic even more! Their album “Modern Synthesis” has been re-released - it’s even available as a stylish clear cassette. KOMODO is playing “Monotone”, “Glass Bird” and “Fin”.
You can’t dream forever - WAKE UP with a SMASH to ya face! Malaysian screamo’s AMU DARIA @project.gagak fucking pull you out of bed no matter how much you want to sleep in. The band includes a combo of members from Safety Zone, Break Free, Invalid Format, Aster etc. KOMODO is spinning “Catastrophe” - also check out the song’s video on YouTube - INSANE!
Another crabby combo is Seoul’s hardcore punkers POLLUTER @polluter_official. Featuring members of Struggle Session, Talkbats, Swaneater and Yuppie Killer, Find the Spot, and Hwanza we turn to these guys when KOMODO needs a sharp, swift, kick to the balls. When “Hollow Head” and “Manipulation” are on the KOMODO turntables, we TURN UP THE VOLUME and give the studio speaker cones a shakeout.
