Linkin Park, Rage Against the Machine and Beck all got together...

Radio KOMODO spins ONLY ASIAN ALTERNATIVE 24x7 365! Tune in to Katie @katkills& Jongo @jonathangoehr via Satellite, Cable TV Networks, Apps, Car Radios, Smart TVs, Digital Streams and even Airline In-Flight Entertainment Systems across Asia.

Imagine if Linkin Park, Rage Against the Machine and Beck all got together to record a track. The result would definitely sound like the single “Standing in the Dark” by PUPPETS @puppets.band - an insane nu-metal band from THAILAND. “Standing in the Dark” spins almost every day on KOMODO, it’s total joy! Listen out for more - in coming weeks we are diving deeper with tracks from their latest EP “For All Who Those Left Behind”.

So, there is this guy called Darell, who we think is originally from Jakarta INDONESIA, but now lives in SINGAPORE. Darell is the bassist/vocalist of SINGAPORE band FORESTS @weareforests and also in another SINGAPORE band TOUGH DAY AT THE BEACH. KOMODO will be spinning all these amazing sounds, but today we are kicking it off with Darell’s solo project QUITE QUIET @quitequietquitequiet - “Future Corpse, Aren’t We All?” from the EP “Fruit Bus Stops”.

We have been spinning “Mosaic Reflections” and “Pendulum Ride” from HONG KONG’s Post-Hardcore fave RESTATE THE MOIRA @restatethemoira. And now, just out is their beautiful, tender daybreak tune “Autumn”. There is a cool lo-fi pixel art lyric video on YouTube - a retro NYC inspired skyline, with an Asian colour palate and foreground. Run the visuals on your big screen and listen out for “Autumn” as the sun rises on KOMODO!

KOMODO had only just started playing “The Skin I’m In” from KUBINE @itskubine and then on Christmas Eve her new release “Clean and Bleed” reached us! KUBINE from Yokohama JAPAN is the phenomenal ex-vocalist of SELF DECONSTRUCTION and is now creating as an Industrial/EBM Metal solo artist. It’s techno, industrial, electro-metal with Kubine screaming - perfect for ANY occasion, seated, standing or even dancing! WONDERFULL!

KOMODO’s art is by Bali’s @rickybilly50 – download the posters each week from here on our website!
