NO BRAIN 노브레인 @officialnobrain are one of the godfathers of the SOUTH KOREAN punk scene and now enjoy mainstream success. While we play them on KOMODO, we never thought of featuring them here on the weekly poster, because they are megastars. We usually profile bands only starting their journey – BUT WOW… NO BRAIN has just released a cover of the legendary 1978 banger “Take A Long Line” by Australian band THE ANGELS @theangelsbandofficial– It’s on HIGH rotation!
KOMODO has featured FILIPINO Noa Mai @n0amal as a solo artist and her collaboration with Ashtrays To Gazza @jiesussamsara. Now KOMODO has stumbled across THE BLEACHING HOUR @thebleachinghour where Noa contributes the vocals and bass. DANG, what a band, they are so fucking awesome! KOMODO is a year late picking up the single “Clown Town”, but we are spinning it as new! Also listen up as we dive into the EP “This Is Not a Movie, I’m Not Going To Save You”.
Five guys from different nationalities and backgrounds got together at that global crossroad THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES to fuse progressive metal with orchestral and synth elements. What a sound! They are CALLOUS MINDS @callous.minds and we don’t know what’s fuelling them but they have released 3 singles already this year! Listen up for “Pool of Lies”, “Project 1948” and “Insomnia”.
JAPANESE dude’s STONE LEEK @stone_leek have been playing melodic punk rock in Kyoto for 20 years! In the last few months, they have dropped two high-octane singles “But I Think Hope’s Inside” and “Silly Things”. KOMODO is spinning both along with tracks from the new album “Revival”. LOTS of CRAZY TAXI vibes here!
